Quillan
Quillan is sits on the banks of the Aude River. The only sight of interest here is the ruined castle. It was buildt on the sight of a Visigothic fortress but was burned down by the Huguenots in 1575. The town itself is nice. There are a fair few shops to wander around and the cafe in the square across the bridge from the castle is big and airy. Though it seems the toilet is a little bit of an after thought. Tiny and on an exteranal wall in the middle of the cafe. The are lots of placces to stay here, most of which seem to be on the D117. It also seems a popular town for British people. I visited for an hour on a cold day in Febuary and heard at least 6 different British couples walking around the place.
